Royal Docks to host Saturday Night For London, a fund raiser, on Saturday July 1st

Full press release from Royal Docks Brewing on their fund raiser and blood drive for victims of recent events in London, England over the last few weeks:

“Royal Docks Brewing Co., in cooperation with WDJQ, Q92 (92.5) Radio and the American Red Cross, will host a fundraising benefit on July 1, 2017, to assist those affected by the many tragedies that have occurred in London, England over the past several weeks.

Brewery owner John R. Bikis and his wife Adriana lived in the Docklands area of London for several years and liked the area so much, they named their business after the area. They also favored the Borough Market area which was most recently effected by the terrorist attack and just reopened last week.

“Q92 knew of our ties to London and reached out to us at Royal Docks after the London Bridge/Borough Market attack on June 3rd.” – explains John Bikis
“Then came the Grenfell Tower fire on June 14 and then the attack on Muslim community outside the Mosque in Finsbury Park last week. We all felt this is something we needed to do and pulled our resources together very quickly. It’s just our simple way of reaching across the pond and incorporating our local community to support.”
On Saturday, July 1 from 1PM until 6PM, a portion of proceeds will be donated to the British Red Cross to be used to support those impacted by these tragic events. Q92 will be doing a remote broadcast during the event and many on-air personalities from the station will be joining us as Celebrity Bartenders including Christian Bigglesworth and Megan McCrea from the Q92 Morning Show and the Mid-Day Diva Nikolina.

The American Red Cross will also be in attendance to explain how they offer assistance during tragedies as well as collecting pints of blood for local use. The blood drive will be held from 1PM to 5PM. In addition to a portion of proceeds, Royal Docks will also offer Gift Cards to the first 20 donors to be used at a later date in gratitude for donating blood; give a pint!
Attendees will also have a chance to win Rod Stewart / Cyndi Lauper tickets at Blossom Music Center on July 28th as guest of John, Adriana and the Royal Docks party bus that will provide transportation to and from Blossom, food, beverages and parking.
