Seasonal Affective Disorder got you down? Ready for winter to be over, and for daylight savings to start? Tired of dining in the dark every night? On Tuesday February 20th, from 6:30-9pm, Great Lakes Brewing Company will host a special dinner that will quite literally be in the dark. The event aims to raise funds for those fighting blindness, and does so in quite a unique and extraordinary way. From the Great Lakes Facebook Event page:
“Turn off the lights and turn on the flavor. Join us for our Dining in the Dark dinner as chefs from the Great Lakes Brewing Co. prepare a special five-course menu and beer tasting crafted for a unique (and delicious) sensory experience benefitting the Cleveland Chapter of Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Dining in the Dark is a powerful dining event, inviting you into a world of sensitivity you may never have experienced, leading you through a unique journey in the dark. Guests will use special light-blocking masks to eat their meal in complete darkness. This unique experience will provide a glimpse into the lives of those who are completely blind and shine a light on the Foundation’s important mission to prevent, treat, and cure vision-robbing diseases. Raffle and auction items will be available with proceeds benefiting the Cleveland Chapter of Foundation Fighting Blindness VisionWalk.
A portion of the tickets sales will benefit the Foundation Fighting Blindness. For more information about the organization, visit www.FightBlindness.org.
