Love Is In The Air: Valentines Day Events abound across the region

You shouldn’t have to work too hard to find something to do for Valentine’s Day this year. If you can mix great beer into the evening somehow, it can make the day even better. Here is a round up of taproom-centric events occurring throughout the region:

Canton Brewing Company has Dinner for Two from 5pm-9pm. For just $50 per couple, you get an appetizer to share, two house salads, two entrees (choose from steak with mashed potatoes and baby carrots, or salmon with roasted potatoes and French green beans), and a NY style cheesecake to share for dessert. Pre-ordered tickets receive two FREE tickets to a Canton Charge home basketball game of their choice.

HiHo in Cuyahoga Falls hosts a pairing with Metropolis popcorn. Head brewer Jon Hovan and Metropolis owner Brent VanFossen will take you through a tasting with three HiHo beers paired with different popcorns and candy. 5pm and 8pm tastings are $20 per person.

R. Shea in Akron will have special flights of Valentines themed beers, including a Chocolate Covered Cherry Cordial, Three Imperial Stouts featuring chocolate covered strawberry, chocolate covered banana, and chocolate mint, a milk stout with chocolate covered almond. A piano player will be on hand from 7:30-9:30 to set the mood.

The Brew Kettle locations in Amherst, Strongsville, and Hudson will release Vanilla Frambozen, a raspberry ale with a hint of vanilla.

Willoughby Brewing Company will have a special dinner and dessert menu and live music by Bluestone Union from 6pm-9pm.

If you prefer a good workout on Valentines Day, Sibling Revelry in Westlake has Sips and Savasana, which is an Agro-Yoga class in the Brewhouse, followed by a free beer afterward. The Michelle Romary Trio also performs in the taproom starting at 6:30.

Forest City in Cleveland hosts Story Club West Side: Love and/or Chocolate. Their normal open mic events featuring true tales will dedicate this show to the mystery and wonder of love, and when that fails, the mystery and wonder of chocolate. 7pm-10pm.

Last but not least, Terrestrial in Cleveland hosts an anti-Valentines Day themed party called Fear Valentine’s Day. Terrestrial and Fear Confections are teaming up to bring you fresh beer, spooky treats, and scary movies. Why should lovers have all the fun?
