Garrett’s Mill and Brewing hires Executive Chef, menus surface online; Speculation mounts on opening date

Food menus have surfaced online for the new Garrett’s Mill & Brewing Company in Garrettsville, Ohio. It looks like they are going for a menu that meets in the middle between bar/tavern classics and upscale, and will adjust as they see what the clientele takes to most.

The new brewery / restaurant, on the site of the now defunct Main Street Brewing Co., still doesn’t have a Facebook presence, but from what we’ve been able to ascertain, open interviews took place this past Sunday and Monday, so it sounds like they may be very close to setting an opening date. They had hoped to open right before Christmas but it appears they hit a few more licensing snags than they initially anticipated. It appears the owners, brand new in the restaurant / brewery business, plan to do things right. They’ve hired Jeremy Barnes, former Executive Chef at Boulder Creek Golf Club & Event Center in Streetsboro and Mario’s Int’l Spa Hotel and Restaurant in Aurora for the same role, with former Main Street Brewer Brian Koptis returning.
