Capstone event of Cleveland Beer Week, and replacement for Brewzilla, held at Cleveland Museum of Natural History sells out in first year

Cleveland, OH – Thank you to [Cleveland Beer Week volunteer board member] Rick Seibt for the opportunity to attend Cleveland Beer Week’s final event, Night at the Brewseum. This is definitely an event that you need to mark on your calendar next year and get tickets to. This year sold out, and for good reason. Over 150 beers on tap from breweries across the region, state and nation. There was literally something for everyone.
Add to that great ￼eats from some of Cleveland’s best restaurants, and you have an unforgettable event. My favorite tastes were the Tremont Taphouse pierogis. Everything, however, was top notch and flavorful: Great food to pair with the beer.
There were a lot of great beers… way too many to list, but these were a few that stood out￼: Little Fish Brewing Company Peach Reinheitsgewhat? and Nowhere In Particular Batch #306 Black Peach Gose were enjoyable and both merited a return. Brick and Barrel Brewing Pinot Saison and Bookhouse Brewing Question Time Red wine barrel-aged Biere de Garde with Brett were outstanding. Noble Beast Brewing Co. shared their phenomenal We Don’t Rat, We Don’t Run, an Oak Foeder Aged Barleywine coming in at 17% ABV.
The Ohio Hop Growers Guild shared a wet hop collaboration beer between Barn Talk Hops of Wadsworth, Yarian Quality Malts of Columbiana, and BIRDFISH BREWING CO. to highlight the feasibility and quality of creating beers using all Ohio ingredients.
The showstoppers however, and truly the reason you need to attend this event next year, are the collaboration beers. Pizzasaurus Rex by Fat Head’s Brewery, Little Fish, Noble Beast and Bookhouse was amazing. The amber ale with garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano and tomatoes stole the show in this reporters opinion.
The collaboration Pebbles Berliner Weisse by Terrestrial Brewing Company, Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., Forest City Brewing, and Royal Docks Brewing Co. with Fruity Pebbles was excellent.
Finally, the Ancient Grain Saison collaboration with Sibling Revelry Brewing, Goldhorn Brewery, Cornerstone Brewing Company, and Akronym Brewing combined Einkorn, Emmer and Spelt with pomegranate to create a unique farmhouse saison with a hint of tartness.
Thanks to all the breweries, restaurants volunteers and organizers who made this event happen. We cannot wait till next year. #CLEBeerWeek
