About Us

Northeast Ohio Craft Brewery News is your one stop shop for all the beer news in our part of the state.  We began in 2017 as a news aggregator, sharing published news from around the region.  2017 was a period of extreme growth in our area with more breweries opening in that year than perhaps any other year in our region, and established beer-writers were having a hard time keeping up with all the stories and reporting on all the new breweries coming online.  Similarly, beer fans were having a hard time keeping up.  Craft beer fans by their very nature love to try new things... that's why they don't drink the same macro brew every day of their lives.  They like to experiment with new flavors, and go new places, and they don't have time for following 100 breweries Facebook pages.  NEOCBN was born as an idea of being that one-stop shop that would aggregate all the beer news being published by the likes of Rick Armon (then of the Akron Beacon Journal and ohio.com), Marc Bona of cleveland.com, and others like them, as well as sharing big news from local breweries, announcements of new breweries in planning, news on upcoming beer fests, and more... all in one place.  

We've iterated, changed, grown a ton, taken a big step back during COVID when the demands of our full time jobs just became too great, and came back and started growing again.  We've met amazing people and other passionate beer fans, beer content creators, bloggers, and podcasters along the way, and formed unbreakable bonds.  We've attempted to form a network of fellow bloggers, podcasters, and Facebook page and beer group runners.  Our latest iteration continues to build on what we started in 2017.  The page and website contributors love beer, but we all have full time jobs outside of the beer industry, and will do our best to offer great content and keep this website and our Facebook pages updated.  Together with our friends at the Flight Crew, we plan to offer periodic news, and beer reviews, offer our opinions and musings on current craft beer culture, post weekly new beer releases that you can use to plan your weekend travels and exploits, share a list of all the best upcoming beer related events and festivals, and original content news articles on items of interest.  Of course we'll continue to what we've always done, sharing content of others who get to the news before we can.  So give us a follow.  Like Northeast Ohio Craft Brewery News and The Flight Crew on Facebook and Instagram.  And we'll do our best to keep you up to date on everything going on with our favorite beverage and the folks that painstakingly craft it and bring great gathering spots and experiences to our neighborhoods!  Beer builds community, and no one believes that more passionately than we do!
